Brilliant and beautiful, as usual! The density of your downtown core looks great, with a good looking transition toward the shore. Also, excellent idea of separating the city from the industrial waterfront with the elevated highway. I'm stealing it  ;D

Thanks for the pics!

In your update long long time ago, there were numerous amounts of warehouses that all looked different. Where did you get so much? I searched STEX and LEX but couldn't find them. I really need them for my industrial park. Say, where did you get them?

BTW, your MD is awesome. All the pictures look very professional.

Superb as usual. You promised me more urban updates a while back, and what I have seen the last couple of updates is sooooo perfect! io_bg: too true. Yourself and Manuel are two of my favorite CBD and downtown creationists.

harris14

is new memphis a new city because i don't see it on the arlington bay map ()what() otherwise great job this is one of my favorite mayor diaries ;D

RickD

Wow, what an awesome downtown. This gotta be one of the best I've ever seen in a MD! I just love the harbor freeway.  &apls

io_bg, Connor, TiFlo, cubby420, RickD, GreekMan, nedalezz: Thank you all guys. The highway and some industries and a stadium in front of downtown is a new thing I tried for the first time myself. I was a bit inspred there from Toronto where I was last autumn.

Cyclone1001: Thanks. Good question, it absolutely takes a lot of practice and time to improve your skills. I'm now playing for about 7 years, and built about 10 regions so far. Some of them turned out to be catastrophic. Once I tried to build an arabian city like Dubai, but it was terrible... :D I guess you need alot of inspiration from other players and googleearth.;) Also always be "up to date" with the newest Lots and Bats. And sometimes the game just gives you limits and you can't really play it the way you want.

Ecoba: Thanks. I agree with you, the euro ashpalt texture really makes it look much more realistic. I'm really enjoying it myself. :) ;D

sepen77: Thank you. I'm sorry you have to be a bit more precise. You maybe mean the LBT-Warehouses (CS$/CS$$)? They are available on the STEX, creator is Heblem.;)

harris14: Thanks, I'm glad you like my MD. Yes "New Memphis" is a new city I'm still developping. It's on the top of Arlington Bay, and up to now I didn't have the time to upgrade the map. I'll do that in some weeks, when the city is more developped with it's outskirts. ;)

As promised, now some close-up's from downtown "New Memphis":

First lets start with a mosaic.

Now let's start the tour with smaller close-up's.;)

I hope you enjoyed the tour.;)

Love the close ups. I would love to get hold of some of the diagonal and orthogonal park and plaza lots you've created to match the asphalt sidewalk texture.

For today we move to New Memphis again, a huge city. I'm still working on the surroundigs, but downtown is nearly finished, so I'm gonna show you some pictures between harbor and Downtown.
You maybe remember some parts already from the seaport-update.

ManuelR -

I have been looking all over for the building above and cant find it, was it made by Jasoncw?

fantnet: Thank you. This building is an ingame Maxis building. ;) Should be out of the NY or Chicago tyleset.

cubby420: Thanks. I didn't especially create these Lots to match with the euro-asphalt texture mod. There is a mod available on the german SimForum, which changes neraly all the white Maxis ground textures to euro asphalt textures. It actually works quiet well in my region. But it's still a beta version, so there are still some fault in it. The download is in post Nr.76 called "Kreisel Testen" -->http://www.simforum.de/showthread.php?t=172765&page=2

cubby420

A very nice little toy nonetheless. Just downloaded and definitely gonna try it out soon.

I love how the sidewalk mod matches with all the base textures in the lots. (Yes I read the previous comments) For a moment there I thought you had to relot all those buildings!  :P

EDIT: Thx for the help but I couldn't find any LBT-warehouses &mmm, I was talking about the long one in the last picture and the ones with JES props on them.

Great work in the past month, lots of great looking updates.  Your downtown area looks superb!

Wow your MD is fantastic, just flicked through the last 15 pages and I have to say that your work has inspired me, I've taken so many ideas from what you've created here! I'm in awe  &apls &apls

By the way, I was wondering where you got these highway parking lots from?, the ones underneath the highway, I've never seen them before, they look really good and I'd love to use them in my cities. I'd be grateful if you could help me out.

P.D. After your reply I'll edit my post and remove the quote so as not to spoil your beautiful thread :satisfied:
