cubby420: Thanks.:) The huge carrefour building is from a french simcity-webpage. I honestly have no idea what it was called, I just followed a link somebody posted.

TiFlo: Thank you very much. I downloaded the IllTonkso suburban offices, but they never showed up in a city up to now. &mmm

RickD: Thanks, I try to use alot of different NWM roads, to add a little more variety to the transportation system. cubby and Tiflo already did a good job in finding you the two industrial buildings you were looking for.:)

Hey guys, it's been a long time since my last update. I'm actually very busy in real life, studying hard, so simcity wasn't first priority. ;) But today I had the time to take a few pictures of "Matlock Heights", a urban-suburban city near "New Memphis". The city is caracterized by a lot of different neighbourhoods. There is at the one side the rich suburban neighbourhoods with their golf courses and parks, and on the other side of the freeway there is one of the biggest "ghettos" in the bay-area. Also the "New Memphis Icicles" play in the brandnew Toyota-Center in "Matlock Heights".
Well let's take a look...  ;) :)

First of all a quick overview. You can see the area where the less-fortunate live. However in the last few years, some luxury apartement-buildings were built next to the freeway, probably because of Matlock Height's great traffic system and the closeness to New Memphis' downtown area.

close-up:

there is enormous traffic on this intersection....

An overview of the area around the Toyota-Center where the Icicles play their hockey games.

close-up of the Toyota-center:

Alot of parking available.:) As you can see "Matlock Heights" is a very upcoming city. A couple of companies have decided to build offices in the urban center around the stadium.

There is also a little park, between parking lots and the freeway.

Huge avenues through the suburban areas.

the Jefferson-estates:

Now let's move to the places where the rich and famous live.;)

A little cemetary...

hope you enjoyed the update;)

Boy I've been waiting for another update form you for a long time! Nice development. Your colors are so crisp and clean. Plus, this update serves as a great ad for that Toyota Center building on the stex...it just looks so real.

cubby420: Thank you. The Toyota-Center is indeed a very nice bat, it's was in my PlugIn folder for years and I never used it :P. I guess that's the problem with the big stadium, you normally just use them once.

rooker1: Thanks. I also love the marcszar bats, they fit perfectly in my cities. :)

Girafe: Thank you, and yes I know that's kinda unreal. I had some room to give but didn't want to change the road-grid. But some overpasses over the avenues would be nice. :D

TomasNeto, io_bg, Battlecat, i_love_lamp, scott1964, Connor, TiFlo: Thank you guys also very much for your comments! :)

I have some more pictures from "Matlock Heights" left, that I'm gonna show you now. You will see the commercial and industrial areas, they are sometimes mixed in this city.

Alot of distribution centers here:

One of my favourite pictures. I just love all these smaller industrial buildings. :)

Also some high-tech industry

Ok, I've gotta stop lurking. This is too good to not comment. Great job!

Great updates there. Your cities definately seem to have become far more north American since I last took a visit here
