Any midwestern U.S. jestarr fans have any good photos to share?

Yeah, give me a couple days and I can provide a few.  Can't promise much, but I'll do my best.  (thank God someone in my family works in the grain-moving business)
You're telling me I get to be home for more than 12 months?

Cool silos! The rail track is too close to the building to work properly though, no loading gantry can be placed in such a space, and the space for the trains is too narrow  ;)
Back to europe ;D

OK, I have the Redwing Mill model rendered and I've started lotting. ()stsfd()  There are four lots, so far.  A regular I-m2 growable, a CAMified IM$$7 growable, a non-rail plop, and a freight station, TE'd for rail and freight truck.  I think that about covers all bases. :D  Here's a couple in-game pics of the freight station version.  This should be going to testing in a day or two, after I've (re)checked everything and generally shuffled everything around.  Cheers!

NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

Awesome work here  I've learned a lot doing factories by watching your work. So if I someday make a factory, it propably will look like yours :P

First of all, thanks a TON for Replogle Globes!  Every Chicago BAT I can get helps.  I need to make a comprehensive list somewhere that includes all Chicago BATs I can find.

I love the grain elevator so far, but I suggest you remove the flat parts (colored yellow) between the cylinders.  The elevators I've seen simply are shaped like overlapping circles.

The coolest grain elevator I've seen was in Toledo, on the banks of the Maumee River south of downtown.  This was 2 weeks ago.  It's called the "CSX Bids Terminal" but it doesn't have a dedicated website.

GRAIN ELEVATOR! Dude. That is so needed!
The most astounding and unique aspect of the human race is our fervent application of our ingenuity to kill each other, thus completely defying the near-universally proven fact that the ultimate goal of a member of a species is to ensure the survival of the species.

@ardecila:  Thanks for the link.  It's sometimes a little hard to find what you want on the net.

@All:  Your comments are greatly appreciated and I'm glad you like it. ()stsfd()

OK, the Redwing Mill is off to testing, so I started a new one. :P  This will be G&K Sheet Metal Fabricators.  The modeling is fairly well along, but there's still some additions and tweaks to do.  I applied the textures so you'd have something to see other than the default gmax colors. :D  They'll, most likely, be changed on the final product.  Cheers!

Sim Shady

wow your work is symbolical of you.  You are like a BAT factory that produces factory BATs  :D

everything looks awesome, btw  ;D

jestarr

Thanks Sim Shady.  Well now.  I had some time today, so I finished up G&K, made the lots and sent it off for testing.  ;D    Here's an in-game pic for your perusal. :D

Jestarr i have to ask you but how long does it take you really to put these awsome factories together...
I know i had asked you at one point how many you had lined up but i dont remember really asking how long
it takes you?  cause its seems you are at the speed of mass production in the BAT for Factories... - pat

Pat: I would have to say that is a hard question to ask.
It all depends on: How complex the buildings is ? The size and ones mood.
Sometimes you have another building you can reuse bits and parts.

J: That looks great. You do bat fast.

toxicpiano

I like the union flag doors  :D
I don't know how you work at the speed you do, I can't even be bothered to open gmax or 3ds max these days  ;D
I find that alcohol, taken in sufficient quantities, can bring about all the effects of drunkenness.

jestarr

@patfirefghtr:  Vester's right; the more complex the building is the longer it takes to model.  However, for the average sized building it doesn't take very long to do the actual modeling (between one and three hours).  The real time consumer for me is the texturing, lot making and packaging.  I'm not very good at the first two. :D  It can easily add three or four times the amount of time required to put out a finished product.

@toxicpiano:  I have my little niche, so to speak, and I enjoy doing it.  Also, I've been doing it for quite some time, so I know what gmax can/can't do and therefore, don't have to waste time trying to figure out how it works. :P
