These look like great residentals. I like the different styles of brick including. Nice job with the lotwork in the front. I know that tree you're using and I always found it looked out of place with such a slender and bare stem. I'll have to remember what a difference dropping it on some shrubbery makes.

jestarr,

Looking great as usual. Keep 'em coming!

Cheers,

Nice work Jestarr looking good. &apls

I really like the third one. The textures reminds me of the old Copenhagen County Hospital (Københavns Kommunehospital)

Andreas

The light brick works very well indeed, and my second favorite would be the first one. Actually, when I saw the model for the first time, I wondered if it could ever "work" (due to the unusual shape), but your lots, even if they are still preliminary, told me that my fears were unfounded. :)

I love it.  The brick textures are very good as well.  The car ports are very cool, I never would have thought of that.  Awesome work.

Well I'll be darn the King of Industry can be also a King of Residental.
All versions look excellent and the carports are a great touch. :)

Thanks folks, I'm glad you like them. ;D  BB, residentials (or most any models) aren't that hard to do, I'm just not really interested normally.  However, I did like the ones that ardecila posted.  They looked good and I liked the two-tone brick.  Anyway, I knocked this out while I ate my dinner.  It's not an exact replica, but I rarely do that anyway.  It's hard to say if I'll ever finish it either.  My attention span is severely limited. :D  Cheers!

Bluebeard

Well I hope you release the Residentals with Carports.Thanx for sharing.

rooker1

Wow..........this new piece is very interesting.  I like the shape and the two tone brick colour.  I hope you don't give this one up.  Let me talk to your attention span.  hehehe  It needs to understand, that this is great work.  hehe

Anyway, I knocked this out while I ate my dinner.

Ha, now I know how you do that so fast! You're some kind of mutant with four arms, so you can eat your dinner with one hand, while holding a glass of beverage in the second one, the third one is operating the mouse and the fourth one is typing keyboard shortcuts. $%Grinno$% But seriously, this is looking very promising already, keep up your great work!
Andreas

Madeira aka Constantina

its going to fit well with my transatlantic cities.  :)

jestarr

OK, since there seems to be some interest in this one, I'll try to finish it. :D  I had a few minutes after supper, so I added the center entrance.  I'm not real excited with the stairs, but maybe they'll grow on me. :P  Anyway, here's a test render pic.

mightygoose

stairs yes, ground texture no..... the central protrusion on the front, maybe make it taller than the rest of the building. just to break up the roof a little.
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

Bluebeard

Whats wrong with the stairs?.I like them it's fit the building.Thanx for sticking with this project.

jestarr

Thanks BB, but the more I looked at them, the less I liked them.  The steps were just too wide.  I reduced them by 1/3 and remade the railings.  I'm somewhat happier with them now. :D  Here's a pic of the new version.  Cheers!

This is how I imagine it:

jestarr says to himself, "I have an hour for lunch today. What I should I do? I know, I'll look at industrial structures online! I like that one, time for Gmax. Thirty minutes later...take a look at my latest model, the textures will change."

We, the loyal fans and users of his work, ponder how exactly he does it. And as we look back at his older releases, there doesn't seem to be any learning curve.

I consider jestarr to be the best industrial batter, bar none. Keep up the good work, sir. Hopefully there will be enough jestarr creations that I will be able to complete get rid of my non-CAM Industrials.

Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks for being inspired!

I like your interpretation, but rather than having a little inset area, the door should be flush with the wall of the building.  Since I can't see any door, I'm assuming you haven't done it yet.

rooker1

I love how this is coming along.  It's fantastic to me that you are giving this a try.  I think you would excel in this type of residential BAT.
Anyways, I like the door way the way it is.  It looks like an alcove where the buzzer would be.
