OK, render #38 seems to have done it.  :P  The final LOD glitch has been whipped into shape. ;D  Now it's back to messing with the lot textures, etc.  Here's a pic of the spot that was, previously, totally garbled.  Cheers!

Citynut

super, glad you got it fixed - that means I need to get back to fininshing the other props huh  :D
I'm nutty and I Bat and they're coming for me with the white coats again

BigSlark

Excellent work on the new factory and I'm glad to see the VW Plant is one step closer to completion.

I'll have my eyes for a hoped-for lunch hour update.  ;)

Cheers,
Kevin

Now that you mention it, here's one I started today (at lunch, of course). :D  This is the SW corner, facing the street.  This shows about 60% of the wall.  Oddly enough, this building doesn't have any doors on this side.  They're all on the North side of the building.  I found this by accident.  I was looking for something else entirely.  It was a Russian site, so I don't know what was made there, as the only word I understood was the one for fabrication. :P  Anyway, here it is.  As usual the ground textures (and any others for that matter) aren't staying.  They're just for visual appeal. ;D  Cheers!

:o Wow, great job at lunch time.  And great news on the VW plant.  You ahve a lot of exciting things on the go right now.

Thanks folks, I appreciate your comments.  OK, it's been a few days, but I am working on stuff.  I'm currently working on 5 models, plus the VW plant textures, so progress is being made, it just doesn't appear that way. :D  I've finished two of the Pelham buildings and started on a basic lot, so I can get a feel for how the lot should be laid out.  Here's a pic of it's current state.  Cheers!

Five projects, plus the VW plant, wow, you are like Superman...no, no, no,  BAT man.   :D  :D  :D
Just kidding.  I don't know how you find the time or keep track of what's going on.  But you do a fantastic job and the end results are always great.

Thanks

I've uploaded an update to the Gerlach-Barklow Apartments, due to a problem with the building family cohort.  Warning:  Be sure to bulldoze all instances of the lot from your region(s) and delete the original folder from your plugins prior to installing the update.  This will prevent conflicts that will crash your game.  Cheers!

Bluebeard

Thanx Jestarr for the the fix.

You're welcome BB. :)  OK, some time ago I mentioned this building.  For various reasons it got put on the back burner.  I've now resurrected it and I'm working on it again. ;D  This will be Black's Ice Company.  The building isn't impressive, since it's plain concrete slab construction, without windows and few doors.  Visual interest will be provided by the "extras" attached here and there around the building.  As normal, all the usual suspects apply and are subject to change. :D  Heres' a test render pic of it's current state.  Cheers!

BigSlark

A big, "painted" sign ala SimGoober would look great on this building, if you're open to suggestions.

Cheers,
Kevin

Andreas

Not impressive? Even with those untextures, screaming yellow walls it looks awesome. :) Actually, if you'd remodel the roof junk a bit and make a texture that looks similar to that yellow, this could work perfectly as an I-HT building (which are still lacking in the game, hint, hint ;) ).
Andreas

BigSlark

Andreas has a point. One I-M Ice Plant and a I-HT umm...lab. Yeah, lab works.

Cheers,
Kevin

Black's Ice Company looks good.  I too, think it could look nice as an I-HT building.

Keep up the great work!

Hmmm...I'm not sure how high tech Black's would turn out to be, but I've been looking around the net, during lunch, for pics and found this on TurboSquid.  There's a free model of it, but I don't use 3dsMax, so I had to remake it in GMax.  I didn't have much time, as I wasted most of the lunch hour wandering around the net, but I've got a fair start.  Still a lot to do; windows, doors, roof junk, and my all time favorite - making textures. ::)  Anyway, here's a pic of the current state of Roth Nanotech.  Cheers!
