Supersnygg flygplats!

Awesome airport! I wish I had the time and skills to make something like that.

(*nordic languages talk*)

krbe

Staten ser gjerne at du kaller flyplassene deres "lufthavn", for eksempel Oslo lufthavn, Gardermoen.

Other than etymologies; I'll have to agree it's a neat airport. They got to travel far a lot, especially as it's a communist state :P Well then, will the rest of signs ever see a release though?

shanghai kid

Nice to see another update so soon, the airport looks good!
However if one is to be picky I´m not sure BA used their "old" livery at the same time as Lufthansas newer livery seen beside it.
On the other hand BA painted at least one 747 in a "retro" livery as a celebration of their anniversary some years ago.  ;)

Battlecat: Thanks!

Haljackey: Well, I'm considering expanding the airport, so some A380's might show up later on. ;)

shanghai kid: Tusen takk!

bat: Thank you!

io_bg: Thanks!

Nexis4Jersey: Thank you!

kwakelaar: Takk! And I have to say, I checked out your MD, and it is fascinating.  :)

Guillaume (Sciurus) : Thank you very much!

OSITM 3 - Åter till Västerköping / A trip to Västerköping again

It thought we should revisit yet another place. This time it's Västerköping of which I found and old maps of the bus lines back then. And I made an overview comparison, comparing Västerköping from update 1 with present day Västerköping. You could say it has grown quite a bit...

Statistik / Statistics:
Befolkning/Population: 81 599 (64 646)
Affär/Commercial: 81 % (77 %)
Industri: 19 % (23 %)

(Warning! Wide images!)

Då / Then:

Nu / Now:

Busslinjekartan.
The bus line map. The grey area is the city back then, and the checkered is the present day size of the city.

Oh, and here's an translation of the names on the map. Just for fun!

Konstapelgatan - Constable Street
Norra vägen - Northern Road
Mandelgatan - Almond Street
Centralen - The Central
Österköpingsvägen norra - Österköping Road North
Universitetet - The University
Österköpingsvägen södra - Österköping Road South
Lilla torget - Small Square
Stora torget - Large Square
Industristationen - Industry Station
Handelsgatan - Trade Street
Västra yrkesvägen - West Profession Road
Östra yrkesvägen - East Profession Road

Wow, riiga.

I'm remembering Vasterkoping from the earlier updates of your MD, and seeing it in it's grown form is really a shocking comparison to the picture from update 1. I also remember all of the construction updates from Vasterkoping, with the step by step instructions, I like that style maybe we could see some more of it? But you don't have to.. just my silly suggestion...

Ha!
What did You say street...  ;D

Wow, a map of the busroute network, now I´m really interested!
Since I´m interested in buses as a hobby I quite like my work as a coordinator of the buses in Stockholm in RL...
The translation of the streetnames I´m sure will be useful to many of the readers of this MD and speaking of translations we have a joke here in Stockholm which plays with the words in the name of one of the main streets in Stockholm.
The joke is really just a direct translation and play with words as the street´s name in Swedish is Vasagatan and Vasa if separated into Va sa´ means What did You say? the translation of the streetname can be What did You say street.  :D
A long explanation of a boring thing that doesn´t hava anything to do with this MD, but hopefully enjoys someone nonetheless...  ;)

bat

Nice bus route map there! Also nice overview of that city!!

Battlecat

Beautiful looking city!  Love the wind farm up at the edge of town!

sumwonyuno

Those are some huge windmills, compared to the size of the buildings in the city!

kwakelaar

Västerköping has certainly been growing, and nice use of the windmills you don't see them that often in MD's, but in real life some places are littered with the things

Just one question "torget" does not mean market in Swedish? In Norwegian this would be the case as we use "plass' for square.

Svar / Replies:

Ethan (ecoba) : I thought I would do another revisit, and this one includes construction work.  :)

bat: Thank you very much!

Battlecat: Thanks!

sumwonyuno: Yes, I've noticed that. However, smaller ones won't give you enough power.

warconstruct : Thank you!

kwakelaar: Thanks! Indeed there's great misuse of windmills in some places, and while it may not look very nice they're still better than dams and nuclear power. (From an environmental perspective that is.) Regarding "torget", in Swedish it translates as market, marketplace or square depending on the use.

OSITM 4 - En till returtripp / Another revisit

While we're at it, I thought we'd make another revisit. This time it's the small town of Spetz, as seen in update five. Currently, Spetz is slowly expanding through urban sprawl (but just on a small scale :P).

And now for some construction work. The area shown below is to be exploited for the construction of a new commercial area to meet the demands of the increasing population.
