Nice airport you've got! And I hope your grandpa will get better soon!

Nice airport, I like the livery of Atrubia's Airline.

That big plane is a An-124, not an AN-225, the 124 has 4 engines, the Antonov An-225 Mriya (Ukrainian: Антонов Ан-225 Мрія)

has 6, and it is much, much larger  :P

Hope your grandfather will feel better, and his bones will heal.  ()sad()

Once again, great to see you back!

Nice airport.

Did you send me a PM on simtropolis as Driftmaster07? I tried to reply, but you seem to have PM disabled.

Microsoft Flight Simulator Aircraft Log

Entry Numer One

Hello SC4Devotion people! I'm here to show you all the wonderful world of aircraft and airports. These flights will mostly be VFR flights (Visual Flight Rules) but some will be IFR flights due to unsightly weather (Instrument Flight Rules, which are a real pain in the arse). The fleet will consist of a wide varienty of Aircraft. None will be Airbus due to te fact I simply like Boeing better, in most occasions there will be Boeing. A couple will be Airbus. I obtained my pilots license (of course its a fake!) over the summer.

This will be a somewhat short  approx. 200-300 mile flight from Nassau in the Bahamas to Miami International.

It was a good day for flying, but some storms coming out of the west. I had better get off the round before they switch it to IFR only.

I started up the engines and closed the door. I contacted the tower and requested to taxi to an active runway, runway 14.

I started to taxi to the runway.

I stopped just stopped short of the runway to get clearance for takeoff from the tower. I got it, lowered stage 1 flaps and was off.

Since I took off to the east, I had to turn back toward the west for Florida. I saw a large view of the airport coming back. Not very much bigger than I imagined.

I saw to the west that I had some seriously turbulent weather ahead. And for about 70 miles, I did. I was very careful to keep my head, realizing this was the same area where Flight 19 disappeard after World War II. But, I knew where I was, so hopefully my fate would not be like theirs.

As I passed by this island I realized I must be about halfway through.

And a little further after that I saw a Cessna Skyhawk on its way to the Bahamas.

About a half hour later I saw the coast of Florida, to my amazement, the slight wind knocked me off course to the south about 50 miles to Ocean Reef, in the Florida Keys. I turned north toward Miami International and contacted the tower 10 min later to begin my descent.

I saw the beauty of Miami in the distance and knew I was close to landing.

I was told to land on runway nine, so I had to turn west than east to line up for the final approach. As I turned east I crossed over Florida's Turnpike it was rush hour and there was a lot of traffic. I'm glad I wasn't down there.

I went a little farther and made a 180 degree turn for the runway, lowered the landing gear and started lowing the flaps. Now that I look back on it, I shouldv'e gone a little further west. But I still lined up correctly.

Touchdown!

I contacted Miami ground and got permission to go across the airport to the general aviation parking. A long taxi.

I had to hold short of the runway due to a 747 Heavy landing. A cool sight to see one land!

My parking wasn't far away. I parked up and saw the 747 that just landed in the distance.

I turned off the engines and made my way to the airport hotel for the next leg.

Well, thats the end of the first leg! Not even I will know where I'm going to go next, well I do. But you dont. $%Grinno$%

It's FSX, I love FSX, the best flightsim out there! (although I don't have it currently installed.)

Good "update" Alex!
You should should try to get a few add-ons, the best are usually payware (altough you can get a copy from a website!)

Luckilly, there are also alot of freeware, the best website I'd recommend is Simviation.com ...

Also at picture 20, right before the 747 lands, I see that you're quite to the left of the taxi-line :P

And:

I had to hold short of the runway due to a 747 Heavy landing. A cool sight to see one land!

If you get a copy of MyTrafficX or any other traffic program for FSX, Your traffic will boost a lot, there will be more planes, and real-life airlines!

Thus, a won't be rare at Miami Intl, Airport!

Anway, kinda getting OFF topic, but I am wondering, what does this have to do with Atrubia, if I may ask?
Sorry, if I souns a little harsh, I'm just wondering.. $%Grinno$%

Anyway, Good Job  &apls  &apls  &apls

I like the idea with the flight sim update. It would be great if we could import our sc4 regions in FSX.

Update 66 - Story Continuation

marsh: Good explanation of why I got mixed up for a minute but no. I was playing FSX and flying the 225, and thought why couldn't we have it in SC4? Turns out, my mind was still on it when I wrote the update.

peter: Thanks man.

RickD: Thankyou. I LOTted the planes using the LE availiable here at the home page under "Support" or at the Maxis Website. ;)

Jordan: The plugins are okay now!

Io_bg: Thanks mate. Nice to hear that from a great builder like you! And my grandfather is getting better. He should be here for Christmas! Which is something that hasn't happend in a decade or so.

Ricky: Yep, as I explained to marsh, I had my mind on the 225 at the time, and wrote it down. Thanks about the livery. I've only had to retool it about 100 times. Lol. I think I finally may have the last one already in my head.

nbvc: Thanks. And, yes I did, apparently you have to manually enter the username in instead of copy/paste.

peter: Hehe, just to keep something active around here. ;)

Xander: Thanks, it is indeed FSX. ;)

Ricky: I've always wanted some addons and now that I am getting the feel for this, I'm gonna get some for Christmas. What does this have to do with Atrubia? Well, that's a secret. Okay, maybe not. It was just something I did that would keep this thread alive until my computer got fixed. It is now!

Rick: Heck yeah! That'd be awesome!

Jordan: Thanks. And I'm back!

Well, I'm back everyone! After a long break, I got my computer fixed and everything is running smoother than when I first got it! Back to the story...

I had gotten a call one week ago from a young Air Force pilot, Private Adrian. He told me that the base administrator said it was time to expand the base. But not with aircraft capacity or a new runway. But, military housing. I had agreed and was off with Argo to do it. After a few months work had steadily risen.

*Phone Ringing* "Hello?"

"Argo, we got to get off to work." I said.

"Okay, meet me here in 20 min."

"Okay."

After the last few jobs we had, the pay had afforded me a new car.

The one on the sidewalk.

I got to his apartment and we drove off.

"Why did you decide to come out here?" He asked.

"Well, I lived in the capitol for a few weeks, before that, Meriah all my life. I came out here to have some fun and work on some projects. Maybe settle down, I don't quite know yet."

"Me too. I had to get away from some stuff in Chicago. Money problems, I went bankrupt before I came here."

"Ah." I said as we took the offramp.

We continued to surpervise the construction till dusk, then packed it in, and went home.

It was a long, and dark drive. On the bridge Argo dared me to turn off the highbeams, and go for the parking lights only. Seeing no one around and on a long straight bridge, I went for it. Very dark indeed.

I got home late, had a drink, and went off to bed.

Thanks all! I hope to hear from most of you again!

Hey guys, hope you all are having a fantastic Christmas Break. I know I am so far. Unfortunately, an update will not come till after January 4th next year. I have a Research paper due that day. 2,700 words. Here is a preview of a new town in Atrubia, Newport.
