I have some nightshots of the "new" downtown New Memphis prepared for you, I hope you enjoy.  ;)

1.

To begin, an overview.

2.

3.

4.

a nice pool on the top of the "Waterfront-Hotel" huh?

5.

close-up

6.

apparently also alot of traffic at night

7.

ghetto-blocks at night.

8.

some apartments and a mcdonalds on the westside.

9.

an overview with the huge Safeco field stadium and at the leftside the biggest mall in downtown.

10.

a close-up on the stadium. As you can see there is a KFC and a burgerking right over the street for the fans.

11.

on the 6th avenue, that cuts through the middle of downtown, is the before mentioned shopping mall and also alot of theaters and clubs. (the place to be at night in New Memphis)

12.

once again, the 6th avenue with all it's shops, bars, theaters etc.

Madness! Normally I like this kind of architectural style, but it's amazing how you implement it! I'm really pleased with the pictures.

rooker1

Very, very nice night shots.  I play in day mode so often that I forget that some models look so good with thier night lights.

Greekman, I believe he is using Simfox's day N night mod, and maybe he toned down the luminosity in photoshop after shot.. But not sure. Anyway that's a fantastic update there my friend, love the feel your city has at night.  &apls

Awesome night shots. It made me chuckle when I imagined ten-thousands of hungry fans raiding the tiny KFC and Burger King after the game.  :D

rooker1: Thanks, same here, I play daymode so often that I keep forgettin to switch to nightmode once in a while. Especially urban area look great at night.

GreekMan, art128: Thank you both. I don't use any nightmod, sadly I can't switch to Simfox' mod anymore, because I already downloaded to many "Maxis Nite" buildings. It's actually all photoshop. (Contrast, Darkness and less blue tones)

RickD: Thanks. I hope the fans eat something in the stadium already, there's truly not enough space in the fast-food-restaurants hehe.

The next few updates will all show New Memphis downtown and it's closer surroundings.

1.

First of all an overview. You can see the whole city with all existing suburbs. To help your orientation I put the page of the update under the city-name.

2.

A closer look at the north of downtown. At the top you can see the Giants-stadium, which you have already seen at night. Right through the middle of downtown cuts the Memphis river. We will take a closer look to that another update.

3.

This will be our tour today. We'll head down 6th Avenue, then turn at Liberty Blvd. We continue the thour with the older stadium of the Giants, which hosts a 2nd-league team now. At the end we take a closer look at the expressway junction.

4.

The upper part of 6th Avenue. On the right it continues to Elizabeth, and to the left is the Giants stadium.

5.

The Giants stadium, which you have already seen at night. Across the street the big mall and all the before mentioned theaters and bars.

6.

The crossing of 6th Avenue and Liberty Blvd. is one of the busiest corners in New Memphis. There are alot of offices here and also the old Marriot Hotel (white building with red entrance).

7.

Along the Liberty Blvd. is the court of New Memphis. There's also a subway station of the red line, but we will take a look at that later aswell. Thanks to nofunk and jasoncw at this occasion, for their great work on those W2W buildings.

8.

pictures 8. and 9. are from the corner Park Ave. and Liberty Blvd. As you can see, the Park Ave. divides into two seperate oneway lanes on this corner.

9.

The old stadium is still up to date, but was to small for the Giants growing fanbase, so they built the huge new Giants stadium at 6th Ave.

10.

The end of todays tour. Jefferson Expy. crosses the Giants Pkwy. Probably not the most treasured place to live in these apartments. Mothers must watch their kids playing in the backyard, so they don't walk on the pkwy.

Battlecat

Wow, that's a fantastic region view!  Nice to see everything in context.

I like the night shots from your last update as well!

rooker1

Love it, love it!
The highway right beside the low res. is brilliant.
