Girafe, io_bg: Poor pines make several sims rich. Give jobs to others. And drives the local economy. With carefully planned replanting this can result in sustainable development.

noahclem: No problem if you're missing several updates, if come back more often later!  ;D And thanks for advertising USL.

Update 28 - Kesterton

This time I will show only a short update, cause I was busy with making tree controllers. At this moment I have some success and some fails with the controllers, and gave it up for a short time to think it over again. Meantime I made this update for you. No tree controllers in this update  ()sad()

Kesterton is a really small town near an unnamed bay. The town is so unremarkable, that even the nearby bay haven't inherited its name during the last century.

Okay, but where is Kesterton?
Here is the Map of Pacific Rim. I also signed the name of the already shown little towns. It is pointless to show a transportation map at this stage of the region, cause there are only streets in the whole region, and only very small sections of road and rail.

Update 29 - Waybridge

Another little town in the country, far from the larger cities.

Scenic bridge connects the town to the rail line built on the other side of the river.

The town is large enough to support a local industry with workforce and resources.

The main road bridge over the river. The road connects Eddington with Uxborough. There is a parallel rail line too.

The "Central Business Development" of Waybridge. Should grow a little larger.

Next time I will show you Eddington, which is the first real city in the region with significant industrial development and harbor.

 Great update.
I like the both bridges over the river, especially the last one.
I do however think that that those huge boulders are an eye sore.
The overall feel of that first pic is very good, I hope you would consider entering it in the pic contest.  ;)

Great little area! I like the TPW with its road viaduct bridge, the eye-candy bridge, and your sidewalks. Can you tell me where I can learn how to do that?

kwakelaar

This is looking really good, especially the last bridge photo looks great.

Reikhardt

Some great scenery you've created there and good work with those bridges  :)

This another little town is amazing!!! Great update!!!   &apls &apls

travismking

Amazing small town, I really enjoyed this update, as with most of your updates. I find it difficult for myself to make a small town that doesnt look cluttered and grossly "urban"

Update 30 - Eddington

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Let me present the first larger city in Pacific Rim. This is Eddington. Population is around 15000, mostly $ residents. At this moment there are absolutely no education buildings in the whole region. So, no demand for higher wealth residents. This feature is reserved for later cities.

The city was established about six hundreds years ago, and was an agricultural village over the decades. Two hundred years ago a coal mine started to work, and that was the base of the grow. Eddington developed into a local industrial center, but agriculture still have a very high weight in its economy.

30.14 - This is a very famous place. I used this piece of avenue for the feasibility test of the USL mod.

30.15 - A coal power station supplies Eddington's night lights. But this is also the power source of the neighbor cities, like Waybridge. They are connected by high voltage power cables.
