This weekend, Monkey Island's ruler, King C. George III, is embarking on a nationwide tour. He is inspecting every town on the island to make sure its bananas are golden and juicy and its vines are in perfect swinging condition. He will inspect residential areas, commercial districts and industrial parks. Those which pass muster will be re-certified and will receive praise and a nifty certificate. You don't even want to know what will be flung at those who fail the inspection...


All hail the king!


So, let's get to work!


The Bananateria in Chiquita Corners passed!


The Chimphatheater in Lemursburg also passed.


Bonobo Village Mall got an exemplary score!


Howler Industries scored just 2 points above failing. They were cited for noise and air pollution violations. The CEO is relieved he didn't get a flinging... but he had better clean up his act, and quick!


The Monkey Island Express scored well. Perhaps the new complimentary banana buffet in the dining car added to the score...


Suburban Monkarooni always does well... residents love their area and keep it spiffy.


The capital got a special citation for outstanding lawn mowing. I mean, just look at that lawn... you could eat off of it!


No danger of a flinging here! Gorilla Challenge Tech Solutions earned a 5 banana rating for the 38th straight year.

I hope the king will continue to find his subjects keeping the kingdom in good condition. And long may the Golden Banana Flag wave o'er Monkey Island!

This weekend is National Visitation Day in Monkey Island... the day that everyone goes to visit friends and family and hang around... literally. Vine traffic often gets backed up with all of the swingers heading in and out of town. It's a good thing they built roads to handle the traffic. With so many fascinating friends And family across Monkey Island, we hardly have time to visit them all. But, let's see who we can visit...

I'm sorry, Dr. Rhesus is not available. His secretary says he's attending a "medical conference" at the beach in Chimpania... try again Monday. Or, try the golf course, you may find him out there making divots!

Monkey Island's biggest musical act, The Monkees, are playing live...


Come see them at Monkeywood Amphitheater, located on the grounds of Monkeywood Amusement Park just outside of Curious Georgetowne.

He has a nice home at the end of Banana Challenge Street. I hear he's having a banana split party. We should go have one!


Of course the teenagers are all over at the mall...
