Hey guys, i just want to reply quickly....

FrankU: you're right. the lots were a bit "over-trashbined" so i changed it, hope its better now. same with Gascooker sheds.  ;)

Arthur: thank you. i hope your computer is okay again and you could save your data, it would be a shame if everything's lost!

Raphael: On one hand the stone path was suppose to slow down cars, on the other hand it was suppose to be a part of a former path connecting the city and the beach that was saved form being replaced by a street. does it make sense?  ()what()

vortext: thank you. yes it did it myself - thanks for the hint with the reader, I'll give it a try.

Ol.S / Benoit: thanks for appreciating my work! the texture's my own creation. i create the pieces i needed by now only. if there is popular demand i could finish the set - even if i got no idea how to make a real road texture  &mmm

Edit: I decide to not leave you without a new picture and a question:

is there a 22,5° wall existing to cover the space between the street on the left and buildings?

It is, it is! I'm writing from it at the moment! I first thought it was a Hard Drive failure, as each time I enter my session, the computer freeze and don't allow me to do anything. It was just my inexperience in this domain that was up. But I realized it was just a very bad virus. I just entered in safe mod, this way the virus wasn't effective, and did a two days system restore, that way no more virus. That was easier than I thought. :)

Can't wait to see what you have for us next. ;)

Edit - Nice looking teaser! I see you think about each little details, that's incredible! Your work reminds me of Dan's city which was lotted just like yours.  :)

And no, sorry i don't know any 22.5° walls..  &mmm

Great job with the new textures, though they could use a bit more wear and tear.  ;)

Yes there are, though most are not that tall, you may want to check out CP vol 1 and Namspopof 1 & 2.

Great job with the last teasers  &apls  I especially like the way you create your shorelines. Just a suggestion, but they might look even better if you reduced the water's transparency. The road textures look nice too

Sad announcement

Hey guys!
To put it in a nutshell, i have a big problem with diagonal edges. With vortexts help (thanks again) I could change the cliff textures back to what it was before. Unfortunately even deleting folder after folder didn't help and i couldn't find out what exactly cause the diagonal edges. That's the current state of play.

As you all know big parts of my MD take place on islands and / or next to coastlines, because of this I decide to not continue with my MD as far as i could not get rid of these ugly edges, simply because i can't deliver the result i want too.

I'm grateful for all your support & help. If you got any hint that could solve the d/e problem feel free to contact me.

Arthur: I'm trying my best  ;)

Vortext: You're right they could use a bit more dirt.

Terring7: Thank you. Yes i did.

Noah: Thank you. I did change the water mod anyways, still not satisfied but getting closer.

Swesim

That´s really sad to hear as Your work was looking really good with lots of time spent with the LE I suppose.
As for the diagonal edges between water and land I discovered that reverting back to the "vanilla" terrainmod helped.
The problem for me proved to be the terrainmod (I used Cycledogg´s modd at the time), not the watermod (Pegasus).
It worked for me, but not necessarily for others...
I hope You can find a way to overcome the problem as I love coastal and Island MDs.

vortext

You couldn't get rid of the edges even with additional terraforming? That's too bad  ()sad()

Swesim: Thanks for the hint, I gave it a try but it didn't work for me.  &mmm

vortext: Additional terraforming just worked in some of cases. Indeed it's bad  ()sad()

Teaser V / Back in Clover

Hey guys! My d/e problem isn't solved yet but i couldn't stop playing SC4.  :D
Here's a little mosaic of what i did. It's not finished yet but I hope you guys like it ;)

Really nice mosaic!

From the beach to the flats uphill it's all looking good.

I like the stairs leading to the upper flat. I think adding a stair from the lower one would look good too. ( Also quite a lot of people around the flats. )

Glad to see you haven't given up alltogether!

Lovely mosaic, the lot detailing is superb! The walkway is also very nice and so realistic, did you make it yourself? If so, great job! If not, mind telling where I could find it?  ;D

Oh yes, that's great. I really like how the parking lot is only 1/3 filled up. And I, too, am wondering whether the staircase is available somewhere.

Cheers

Great mosaic  &apls

Problem with diagonal beaches and extra cliffs have to do with a property in your terrain mod. Unfortunately I can't remember which one. Did you get a new terrain mod? Or make a change to your old one? This is something that should be possible to solve.

EDIT--it's the property that controls when cliffs show up. My Reader is acting screwy so I can't tell the actual name right now.

Kergelen

Yes, beautiful mosaic.  &apls
The parking lots are interesting and the stairs fits perfectly on the slope

If your problem is the diagonal edges on the beaches have a look here.
