Good things as always from the NCR. I love that wall-to-wall you've got as the paper store - the indented front looks amazing, and really adds a bit of variety to the street.

benedict   Thanks. I enjoyed making it. That building is pretty cool. I try to use it sparingly but I want to use it everywhere. :D

East Tenne: School Field Trip

The kids at Cat Head Middle School in Vaunmax, Mookimia are super excited! Their school won the contest sponsored by SchulmaniCorp to bring in cans of Fancy Feast for the troops for the holidays. The kids at Cat Head brought in the highest per student average in the nation – a whopping 119.7 cans per student. As the winners, the whole school won a free trip to the capital! The kids have their teachers as their chaperones and each group will start at a different spot and rotate through them as the trip progresses. They have never been far from their hometown, so the dazzling big city of Oak Ridge will surely impress and delight!

Chaperone Group 1: Miss Clawsworth's Class
This group of kids is starting off at Myers Park, the nation's largest urban park. They will tour the National Cathedral and explore the park itself. Of course there will be some frolicking in the park as well! They will then rotate to the next site.

Chaperone Group 2: Mrs. Whiskerson's Class
This group is getting a tour of City Hall, the largest municipal structure in the nation. Everyone gets a turn to get their picture taken clawing them mayor's chair in his office.

Chaperone Group 3: Mr. Fluffington's Class
Mr. F's class starts off at the cultural sites – museums and majestic churches. But, don't feel too sorry for them being stuck learning too much... they also hang out at the heart of great shopping – the Oak Ridge Mall!

St. Felix

St. Garfield

Feline Music Hall of Fame

Moore Museum of Science

Prince Excalibur Museum of Art

And of course the premier outdoor shopping destination – the Oak Ridge Mall!

Chaperone Group 4: Principal Skinner's Group
Principal Skinner started his group off at Seaside Park. Later, they went to Sardine Square for shopping and snacks.

Sardine Square

This will be the greatest field trip ever! The kids are super excited and can't wait to come back to their hometown and regale them with stories of life in the big city!

East Tenne: Held Over!

Big news! Expo 2013 – the Feline World's Fair & Exposition – has been held over into 2014 due to popular demand!

Enormous crowds have been to Expo 2013 and more are on the way! Fair promoters are so pleased with the turnout to the Feline World's Fair that it is being extended until March 31, 2014. Isn't it great that we have more time to enjoy the fair and its cornucopia of cultural and entertaining venues? Let's pay it a visit now.

Arriving at Expo Station

Let's head in!

Let's ride a paddleboat first

There's a great show at the Royal Calico Hall. I think it involves dogs riding unicycles...

Let's head over to the Bureau of Feline Affairs Pavilion. A new exhibit of stylized ultramodern scratching posts is sure to delight.

Let's wander over to the Schulmania Pavilion...

Admiral Hestorb and Prince Excalibur are having a meet and greet today in the Grand Ballroom. You can get an autograph, a daguerreotype taken and a furry hug from these uber-celebrities!

Let's wander around some more...

In the Arts Quadrangle, a new exhibit of paintings by Clawed Monet and Johannes Vermeow is sure to bring in the crowds

Now that we got our culture on, let's head over to The Midway for some serious fun!

Merry go round, anyone?

A stop by The World of Fancy Feast? Free samples today!

At The Hall of Mystery, there's no telling what spooky stuff awaits us! Today, I hear there's a new treat:

Let's ride the FURRY FURY! Its action packed adventure!

East Tenne: Townsite

The capital's fifth arrondissement, Townsite, is a government district along the coast, overlooking the government-heavy fourth arrondissement, The Citadel. Most of Schulmania's main government facilities are located within these two districts, giving the area the "Government Quarter" moniker. Today, we start our tour of The Townsite with the Nepeta Square environs. Nepeta is the scientific name for the national flower, catnip. Nepeta Square is the home to the Catnip Comptroller's Office, or CCO. The CCO ensures the quality of catnip sold in Schulmania, providing inspections and quality standards. Catnip is not only the preferred tea for felines but also the basis for most feline medicine. Nearby is the Catnip Research Institute, or CRI. The CRI researches catnip and its properties, looking for ever better ways to improve crop yield and find new uses for catnip products. The Great Catnip Market is the largest wholesale marketplace for catnip in the nation. Think of it as the Wall Street of catnip.

It seems fitting that we travel down Fancy Feast Avenue to the heart of the catnip trade

Catnip brokers have offices in the vicinity. Among the best known are UHI (United Harar Importers), 3P (Purr, Purr & Purr), G&L (Garfield & Litter), and BFF (Benedict Feline Financial).

There are plenty of amenities for the feline traders. Here, shops and cafes provide plenty of ways to spend one's hard earned schulmonetas.

The Catnip Research Institute has the best agriscience labs in the nation. In association with East Tenne University, a doctoral program in feline agriculture specializing in crop science is available for promising students.

The Catnip Comptroller's Office presides over Nepeta Square

The new Chief Comptroller is Dr. Gose, appointed last month by Princess Ava to fill the vacancy left by retiring Comptroller Dr. Grayson

Now, off to the Great Catnip Market to see catnip of every variety bought, sold and traded...
