I love the green color variation. It blends nicely with the roof texture. Great work so far in your OSITM. :)

200 posts, congrats.

Thank you art128!!!

To celebrate the 200 posts  :P I want to do something different... (That I couldn't finish a new building for today has nothing to do with it  ::))

A streetlight. It's still in process. I've done it during rendering time.

I made some changes, because the default textures annoyed me:

The sidewalks textures are from Gobias, and the road textures are from a guy whose name I can't remember.  $%Grinno$%
I'm still thinking about doing my own street mod or not, because placing all the street props on the lots gives me more flexibility.
Anyway, I have to take out all the maxis props, but I haven't found the mod for it.

About the lots, I think I'm going to release the simple version, with default maxis textures to let you do anything you want with them. I'll do others matching my purposes later.

Simcoug

I think that street light will end up looking very cool

That's a good idea! That way a sidewalk replacement mod will work. :)

Loving the street lamp so far.

Quote from: romualdillo on December 05, 2014, 05:06:55 PMBe patient!! :P  I still have to change textures in all the other 72 buildings. They're older and they come first!! Think that every building has 2 models (main building and basement), so I have to render all the 144 models again!!  ;)

For sure we will be patient. If someone ist such a nut guy, we have to...  :D
In RL every company chief would look at your models and say: "well done, it´s finished and this new game will be worth 40 Euros", but we here, looking at your work done for only the plaesure to do it, we offer our critics to details, any normal user wouldn´t see. And then we take it and say, well here and there could be some improvement.  $%Grinno$%

So I would kindly ask you to be patient with us.  ;)

Again wonderful pictures, can´t say anything else. The new street light looks nice, and the street mod looks amazing. The name of the one who did the road textures? Eric?....  :P

Vizoria

What impressive detail for such small buildings. Also the slope friendly is very good as well. Keep it up!

144 models, that is BIG project. For you own sake and so you don't run tired with this.
Spilt them up in smaller releases.

romualdillo

Simcoug: Thank you!!

art128: Thank you!! I'll probably take out the overlay textures and change them for base textures, so they work with replacement mods.

carlfatal: Thank you!! Eric...?  :P I don't know who is that guy...  $%Grinno$% (Thanks Eric). I know that you make your critics for my best... and yes, you should be very patient with me!!!  :D

Vizoria: Thank you!!!

vester: Yes, it has become a BIG project. I've thought about dividing it in different releases. Perhaps, when the first R$ (8m wide) are finished I'll release them. Then the 5,3m wide, and finally the R$$. What do you think?

Now the corner version of Casa Luis XVI. I'm sorry I couldn't show it yesterday, but it needed a lot of work.

I hope you like it!!!

romualdillo

First colour variation...

I really hate the traffic lights now...  &sly

c.p.

Looking good    The corner building really helps the W2W block look natural/realistic.

Sound like a good plan.

Great update. Love the cut-off corners. (the 45 degrees).
We have them on most corners in Copenhagen. My sitting room has window in one.

romualdillo

Simcoug: Thank you!!

c.p.: You're right!! I don't regret making them.

vester: Thank you!!! Here in Spain they are common, too. You can find the best example in Barcelona, where the corners are huge, and make the city look totally different to others.

The other colour variation:

I hope you like them. Have I ever told you about how much I hate the traffic lights now??  :P

romualdillo

New aspect of the w2w without backyard version. Different colour versions will come next.

I hope you like it!!!

Incredible work here--the buildings look just beautiful  &apls  They match those roads perfectly and the slopes look amazing. Are you missing some night lights in that last picture though? For the stoplights you could try Mandelsoft's stoplight replacement mod over on the STEX--or try to create you're own if you're feeling more ambitious

romualdillo

noahclem: Thank you!!! Missing lights? Not really... some houses have only few lit windows, others have more. It depends on the houses present on the picture.

And now, the first colour variation:

I hope you like it!!!

Kergelen

Indeed, I love it!!  &apls

Your building collection fits perfectly with vortext textures.

I wonder if the expression "vortextures" would catch on :D  Love the color variation and the light idea makes sense

romualdillo

Kergelen: Thank you!!

noahclem: I like "vortextures", perhaps we should name them so.  :D

And now, last colour variation:

Next to come, Casa Marchiaro. Let's see how does it look.
