I'm always working on something new. :P  However, the VW plant, currently, is giving me some trouble, that I haven't resolved as yet (LOD issues).  As soon as I can figure out what's wrong, we'll be able to finish the lot, since most of the models are done.

Wow, super fast response.  Do you take requests?  I may have some interesting ideas if you are interested.   ???

Sure, although I won't guarantee that I'll be competent to BAT it.  Also, my attention span is limited, so I may not complete them in a timely manner. :D

Edit:  I mentioned I've always got something new going.  Here's one.  It's a bait shop that'll be an offset rendered prop. That way it can be extended into the water.  It's not finished, I just work on it from time to time. :D

Heh, thanks for answering my question so quickly.  :D

Thanks for including a CAMeLot. I'm really liking the CAM. (though ZI bizarrely haven't played the game for a few days! I just haven't gotten around to it, lol).

Fantastic looking buidlings! Also the newest is looking great!

jestarr

Thanks all.  I've uploaded the sugar warehouse to the LEX.  It now comes in two versions; a canal version and a non-canal version.  There's an I-d3 regular growable, an ID$$5 CAM growable, and a plop for each set.  The canal lots don't have any canal props added, so you can use the canals of your choice.  You can delete the version(s) you don't want to use.  They install in separate folders, so it's easy to figure out which is which.  Cheers!

Thanx Jestarr for this awesome industry lot.

That bait shop will look spelndid in my waterfront district. Please dont make it a canal lot.

I love your buildings, but since i dont use simgoober's canals, i cant use the ones made with it. So thats why i love it when you make a non-canal versions of things, like this warehouse. Even better when i can use it with ANY CANAL. YESSS. Thanks so much for that. I love not being restricted in placing things like this incase there is no canal running through the area (or if thats not a simgoober canal).

BigSlark

jestarr,

When zoning for the sugar warehouse beast to grow does the lot need to face the 3 tile or 15 tile side?

Thanks!

Cheers,
KEvin

jestarr

@BigSlark:  The road is along the 15x side.  It should be zoned 15 tiles, along the road or canal.

@Fledgeling:  The bait shop will be an offset prop on the lot, so it should be able to be plopped on any canal or waterway.  The only consideration will be the LODs on the canal pieces, which may interfere with the prop if it isn't high enough.  I'll need to do some research with the various canal sets to check on that.

jacqulina

wonderfull work the details are fantastic &apls &apls

Thanks Jacqulina, I'm glad you like it.  I was at a friends house and he had obtained a new toy.  It's a model of the Redwing Flour Mill.  He and his wife are avid model railroaders and much of my inspiration comes directly from his layout. :D  I liked the pic on the box and I started to BAT it last night.  It went rather quickly so I took a couple of pics of my last test render for "show and tell". :P  All the usual suspects apply (textures, roof junk, etc.)  Here they are.  Cheers!

BigSlark

jestarr,

That looks great! I used to be a model railroader and a kitbashed Redwing Flour Mill occupied a decent sized space of my layout (I basically put two of them back to back).

I can't wait to see how you lot this-I hope its rail-based.

Also, have you thought about creating grain elevators? I'm thinking of the concrete giants that you will find in industrial areas, not the small four silo variety that sits out on the prairie. I know they aren't common in this part of the world but I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see them.

Cheers,
Kevin

jestarr

Yeah, I have thought about it actually.  Here's a pic of the massing model for one I was thinking of doing.  Is this about the size you were thinking about?  This could be used along a canal/wharf or as a standalone almost anywhere.

Andreas

Wow, you're unstoppable! Every new BAT is a new masterpiece, and much appreciated in my industrial areas. Great work! :)

jestarr,

That's exactly what I was thinking of. You're right, it would look great on a river or ocean port, or next to a rail yard.

Any midwestern U.S. jestarr fans have any good photos to share?

And Andreas is right-you're unstoppable.

Cheers,
Kevin

Jestarr : That Building looks awsome - it's is funny I was online looking at RR Buildings and save that pic for future reference. Dont need to now  :D

Kevin: get me a pic (s) of what you want and I'll do it for you. I already have 2 in the works - one style is on the LEX and the other is in testing.

Cheers, Scott -citynut
I'm nutty and I Bat and they're coming for me with the white coats again

jestarr

I had some time during lunch, so I fiddled with the grain elevator a bit, putting things here and there. :D  This is the result, so far.  If I continue with it, much of it will change.
