Well, SC4 runs so much faster ever since I got rid of the "dead wood" from my plugins folder. Still have a couple of missing files which I'm trying to track down, it's proving difficult.

I just went ahead and dowloaded every prop available &idea. I think (now this includes the new cam packs) it's around 1.1GB by itself &hlp.

Now by doing that, I've completely lost track of which ones are being used or not. :-\

And the worst thing about it is that I still get the occasional brown box!!!!!!!!!!! :o :o :o :o

:angrymore:

I am thinking of refreshing like you have, but.... I have too much at stake in my current region. $%#Ninj2

I went nusto with the smilies today &prt. Don't use em too much, but at least you know my feelings on the subject...

Empty right now.

Just reinstalled for what must be the 10th time in the past 4 or 5 years of actually playing. So its to LEX I go and a full download of pretty much everything I can. Along with a donation at some stage in the coming days as my thankyou :)

Update.  Am at 506mb right now.

Got 2gb of things to add to it at the moment, with alot more items on my download list here and saved in a links document for ST and SimPeg.

Going to be a long day.

834 MB, surprisingly.

I like to trim my Plugins a lot. If there's a file I don't need--delete. See ya, kid. I like staying nice and organized.

One year ago, I had a plugins folder of 3.5 gb's (a lot of crap too)

Cleaned it out, and have been hovering around the 1-1.5 gb mark ever since.
O love the cleanitol, as well as a program called doublekiller - useful for those non-cleanitol files of duplicates.

In May, I pretty much backed up and went through each file individually, asking myself "did I ever really use this?"  My new folder owns, but I still can't find that damn Modern Concrete walls texture!!! :bomb:

In the sc4/not using now folder:486 megs           2,198 files 502 folders (still need to try startup manager)

Well, I finally added the 300+ MB of zipped material that had been sitting on my HD since about the time they started releasing lots for the CAM. Of course, that 300 MB is the size of the collective zip files themselves, and doesn't include the CAM stuff at all, so as for how much stuff I added to my plugins folder today, I have no idea.  I do know, however, that I now have a very satisfying collection of industrial buildings and am up to date with all dependencies that I need.

My Plugins folder now has 299 files in 72 folders for a total of 1.55 GB of stuff (chump change compared to other people). BSC and NDEX together make up almost exactly one-third of that bulk.
