Blaxland and Dapto look very nice. And don't you forget the fog!  :D

(Believe me, driving through the Blue Mountains during a particularly foggy morning is not very pleasant, because you can't see a damn thing :P)

Hi Dave,

Some very nice farms there - and love the pic with the bridge over the gorge.

I've not really played much with the ploppable water - must give it a go after seeing what can be done.

Those Dapto farmlands are wonderfull Dave

Huh? I'm awake! :P
Beautiful work, Dave. The farms look great, but the way you've used the TPW is amazing. I'd guess we can expect a lot more gorgeous photos. (I hope, I hope, I hope!)
And that was a lovely tribute you made. Like many others, my concern is for the people who serve, not the reason they're serving.
And thanks for the region shot. I just can't believe there is still so much undeveloped land left.

Until next time...
Joan

Great updates...i sure have missed alot! Apologies for not stopping, i've been taken by a very large dose of RL which has kept me away from anything leisure related lol. St. Leonards looks great and the port is amazing....has actually inspired me, when i get some free time, to do something similar.

I hope to stop by a tad more often in future. :)

patfirefghtr: Thanks Pat, I know my secrets are always safe with you  $%Grinno$%

Shadow Assassin: Thanks SA. You're not wrong about the fog, nothing better than driving and all you can see is the reflection of your headlights.

paroch: Hi Paul, appreciate the comments. Have a go with the PW, does take a bit of practice but I think it's worth the effort.

sebes: Thanks Sebes.

Jmouse: Hmm, well there may be one or two more PW pic's, maybe ;) As for the undeveloped tiles, I think I told Dave the Elder (Dedgren) when I came out of OSITM that in six months I'd be finished the region and onto the next. I seem to be a little behind schedule :)

pipishere: pip, good to see you again. Glad you like and will be interested to see your version of the port. No need to apologise, RL comes first.

Blaxland

These cottages were once home to the workers who built the railway over the mountain. These days, while still owned by the
Transportation Dept, they have been turned into holiday cottages. It is rumoured that any clock or watch brought into the
cottages is soon running 10 minutes slow. No surprise really.

Big John's mine, now a tourist attraction. Two types of visitors here, those interested in the story of Big John and
Jimmy Dean fans ;D. For those who haven't had the pleasure, this it what you hear everytime you
click on the mine

And they say there is no crime out in the sticks. Somebody stole the front wheels of my dump truck.

What can I say, no planning went into this whatsoever. Only after construction was complete was
it realised that for the logs to flow to the the sawmill downstream, they would need to go over three waterfalls.
Amazingly it turned into a cash bonanza. Turning to woodchips, all that was needed was a fine net across
the river below the falls, letting nature do the work for you. The Greens were impressed.

Until next time

Cheers

Dave

Pat

my god dave i have to say i quit, you have surpassed me... WOW im drooling over you TPW stuff..... OK i have to go now and work lol.... Dave i will see you next update my foe errr i mean friend lol - pat

Shadow Assassin

Hah, what were the Greens impressed about? What happened to their unique brand (well, not so unique anymore) of rabid environmentalism? I suppose money played a big part in it...

But I love how Blaxland looks so far.

Oh my goodness, Dave, you've outdone yourself this time. The farms look great, the water looks great and you haven't lost that talent for spinning a good yarn. I hope this MD goes on forever!

Until next time...

Absolutely stunning! Do you mind my asking where the mossy green rocks can be found?

stewart_garden

Interesting to see you tackle something new ... and make a great job of it.  And yes, where did you get those mossy rocks?

Stewart
First things first, but not necessarily in that order.

tooheys

Thanks for all the great comments, replies later.

Here is link for the rocks.

Hi Dave,

I will get round to the plop water, promise.  Maybe not this month, but sometime soon I hope.

As for this update

I love the row of holiday cottages - they look just perfect there, the flowering hedges that seperate the gardens are a really nice touch.  In pic 4  I like the way that the station is only for one track, so I assume that express trains just don't stop in this town.  And the farms here are cool too.

Pic 6 is of course a masterpiece in its own right.  Not much else I can say on that really.

And great funny little snippets of information of course - just what we hope for when we visit Balnavia.

All the best,

Paul

Could always get myself a woman, but that would just give me more free time, wouldn't
have to cook or cleanup  $%Grinno$% (ducks as every female member throws anything at hand
in my direction).

Shadow Assassin: SA, they were impressed that I didn't have to build a woodchip plant. That and the $500k donation  ;)
Thanks for dropping by.

bat: Hi Bat, thanks for the comments.

pipishere: Thanks pip, I do like that lot.

Badsim: Badsim, thanks for the visit, and I appreciate your comments. Thanks mate.

Jmouse: Hi Joan and thanks. As for the MD going on forever, we might have to ask jeronij if he can keep the site open that long.

Toichus Maximus: The link is above. Thanks for dropping in and welcome your comments.

stewart_garden: Stewart, thanks mate. Linkie is above.

tooheys: Get out of my thread.

paroch: Thanks Paul, appreciate the great comments. My soccer(football) team is in intense training at the moment, they've just worked out what that white round thing is  ::)

Blaxland

Just a bit of a tease of the area I'm working on at the moment. Still have my doubts about the tunnel outflow,
the water is just the wrong colour. Any suggestions?

Cheers

Dave

threestooges

Well, let me just say that the Blaxland updates have been good so far. Good story behind the cottages, and great pic with the tpw and bridges. The lumbermill looks good too as you can now see the lumber ramp dip below the water. As far as the outflow for the teaser, I would suggest either peg's old canals (I think the color matches well enough) or use one of jeronij's culverts (there's no water attached to it, but I think it might be offset a bit which might effect the placement of the water tiles). I'll look forward to the actual update to see what you end up doing with it.

Ennedi

Hello Dave,

Blaxland is fantastic, my favourites are last three pictures
This one with the windmill and the yellow truck is simple but full of nice little details, all textures are a perfect fit
The small peninsula with the rail bridge looks also very well, your work with grass, stones and bushes is very professional. &apls
And you have choosen the perfect place for your sawmill!
Putting logs through waterfalls - yes, that's an interesting idea, but I think when they will made a furniture from this wood later, it will be highly customized :D

Your last picture from Blaxland is very nice too, the Mossy Granite works very well here, your terrain have some straight edges on this area and they are completely invisible

Great work Dave!
