It's a shame to see such beautiful old buildings replaced by modern office buildings, but I guess that's what time does.

You're use of curves is fantastic.  You do a great job breaking the grid, something essential for a European city.

marsh

Cool development. Although it is a shame to see those old buildings go...  &mmm

bat

That are some nice updates there!
And the pictures of your city are fantastic!
Great looking suburb, too. ;)

Hi riiga! You have a very nice update. Old buildings being replaced by new is sad, but you did a good job with it. And that's a really nice Office Building. Who made that?

io_bg: Actaully, the train station gets an upgrade in this update...  ;)

Jordan (canyonjumper) : Thank you!

Kevin1a: Thanks! And I'm sorry the buildings have to go, but that's realism...  ;D

marsh: Yeah, I think so as well...  &mmm

bat: Thank you very much!

greckman: Thank you! I'm not really sure who made that building, but I think it's a Dutch BAT.

i_love_lamp: Almost. Ikea actually existed at this time (1963), but was not very large though.

Arthur (art128) : Thanks! More in this update (of course :P)

Som en del av den snabba expansionen har man beslutat att även bygga om tågstationen.
Following the rapid expansion and urban renewal, it was decided that the rail station was to be upgraded.

Update 28:

I och med den enorma befolkningsökningen, så beslutade man att bygga ytterligare ett miljonområde.
With more people moving in each day, it was decided a new Million Programme area was to be built.

Nästan färdigt:
Construction almost complete:

På bara 10 år så har biltrafiken ökat med 400 %! Som framtidssäkring anlade man därför en kort teststräcka med motorväg strax väster om staden.
The number of cars have gone up with almost 400 % in 10 years. As a test for the future, a short stretch of motorway along with an interchange was constructed.

I takt med byggandet av miljonområdena så byggs det även villa-/radhusområden.
Sprawl is still non-existant, but on the rise.

Nice construction shots. Interesting idea for an interchange, too! (although I'd shorten the elevated part ;D)

Looking good.  I like the interchange: very European looking, and not just because of the textures.  That roundabout really fits too.  It would be possible to shorten the elevated section using starter-less pieces, but only in the name of perfection, it already looks great the way it is.

noahclem

Nice mid-rise residential development and interchange  &apls  The area on the rail station in the previous update looks awesome as well

io_bg: Thanks my friend!

Kevin1a: Thanks! As for the interchange, when the motorway will be extended in about 5-10 years, the interchange will be re-done ;)

noahclem: Thank you!

Ingen juluppdatering, men väl en miljonprogramsmosaik.
More Million Programme areas constructed, and here's a small mosaic of one such area.

I like the Österköping Region's approach to fighting sprawl! What building are you using for the Million Project? On a more detailed note, I like the way those bike/pedestrian paths cross your streets
