Congratulations with the 7th anniversary!  &apls

And what a spectacular expo, very thorough and entertaining! How big is the entire area? I'd love to see an overview sometime. In the meanwhile I'm curious to see the next update, happens to be a favorite show of mine too.

East Tenne: The Simpsons Come to Schulmania

Here at the Simpson home in Springfield, Bart Simpson, as usual, is being naughty. He needs something to do to stay out of trouble. He watches TV and finds something which catches his eye.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwnf3QAnoQE

And, as usual, Home is not motivated at all to get off the couch...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNr_NE3tl6g

So, he stays behind on the couch to watch football and the rest of the family prepares to go to the World's Fair! The family heads to the airport after picking up a few pals for Bart to hang out with. They'll fly Nyan Airlines to Schulmania. Everyone is so excited! Especially after they see this commercial in the airport lounge:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stNvaRunyuc

The excitement is mounting! Finally, the plane leaves Springfield's C. Montgomery Burns International Airport headed to Schulmania. Bart, being naughty, has a secret plan: he and his friends will use the fake ID he made at Patty and Selma's DMV office to rent a car and ditch his family for a fun-filled afternoon of Kwik-E-Mart runs and Broadway shows... we'll see if his plan works!

Bart is distraught to find that there are no cars to rent, since the capital is a motor vehicle free zone. His sour disposition is reflected in how he had the fair portrayed on his show:

The Simpsons arrive at the train terminal and prepare to go to the expo. They'' get their tickets at a kiosk before heading out to save time in lines.

And now, head into the fairgrounds at the entrance...

The first stop: the Commerce Pavilions and the Court of Honor. The kids are going to take paddleboat rides in the reflecting pool at the center of the Court of Honor.

Ready to have some fun? Let's head over to the Midway. There's rides and attractions for folks of all ages. I'll bet Bart and Lisa will do something different than Marge.

Marge knows how to party!

Bart, Milhous and Martin are riding coasters!

Lisa is headed to the Bureau of Feline Affairs Hall to see cat exhibits!

It's a blast!

Snowball also performs at the Royal Calico Hall with the other Snowball Simpsons

Marge made everyone go to the Feline Culture Hall. Luckily for the kids, it was awesome!

Schulmania hall has some great treasures in it!

And then the group is headed to the top of the Wirdlesphere for dinner in the revolving restaurant...

They stop by the world's largest Rubik's Cube on the way

Milhous is headed the wrong way to the Wirdlesphere!!

Now, let's go see the golden Wirdlesphere in all its glory!

East Tenne: Open Spaces

The third district of the national capital, the Holy Quarter, is best known for its high concentration of large religious structures. But there is more to the area than just that; it also houses some of the largest open spaces and parklands in the city. Myers Park is the largest urban park in the nation. Seaside Park runs along the western shore of the island from the edge of the district to the Cathedral Woods area. Cathedral Woods is a large undeveloped space occupying the northern tip of the island.

The large garden parks are great!

I could spend a few peaceful hours there reading a book everyday...total contentment.  Your parks are all really well designed.

East Tenne: National Cathedral

Today, we visit the National Cathedral, which sits at the end of Myers Park, the nation's largest urban park. The cathedral is flanked by the Ecclesiastic Library and the Sacred Music Hall. Behind the cathedral is undeveloped space – Cathedral Woods. This forested area comprises the northern tip of the island. National Cathedral first gained prominence during the 2013 Royal Wedding. Prince Excalibur has declared the cathedral to be the site for future coronations for the Kingdom of Tenne.

And some of the surrounding features:

East Tenne: In Triplicate...

Government offices are located throughout the capital. Many of the most significant ones are located in the Royal Quarter and the Feline Quarter. But, all of those government offices and institutions which don't require the Supreme Wirdle's daily oversight need somewhere to be as well. Many of them and concentrated in the fourth and fifth arrondissements. District IV is known as The Citadel, as it contains a large building which sits upon a hill just like a citadel in the times of yore. A large cluster of government facilities centers around Clark Square. This cluster is devoted to education and culture. There are other clusters scattered through the Government Districts. Executive and legislative offices are in the Royal Quarter, proximate to Wirtyplace.

Today, we traverse the district looking for signatures on a form (to be filled out in triplicate, of course) permitting Dr. Joshua Vaughan Bell, M.D., Esq., to establish a new medical college in New Arlenes. Dr. Bell, Schulmania's most famous physician, is best known for performing the first paw pad transplant in history. He has recruited several renowned medical professionals and instructors, including Dr. Aidan Jacobs, inventor of the whisker graft, and Dr. Drew Drews, pioneer in hairball prevention research. These three have developed a proposal and have found a great site in New Arlenes, which currently has no medical training facility anywhere near it, ready for development.

The trio of doctors met up at the corner office of their lawyers, Rob & Steele LLC, to get the papers

Then they headed over to Janice's House o' Paper to get a fancy file folder to put the proposal in... and maybe some cool stickers to jazz it up

The group got delayed when some pigeons landed on the sidewalk and everyone had to stop what they were doing and pounce on them...

Back on track... and headed to the Fine Arts Council building. There, the Deputy Assistant Undersecretary for Waiting Room Décor will have to sign off on the design plans.

The official was taking a nap after having spend hours looking out of the window (I know, it is exhausting, isn't it?) So the doctors headed over to the mall to get some catnip to motivate him to get with the program and sign off on the décor.

Back to the Fine Arts Council building. After having the first signature, the group went upstairs to the office of Justin Morley, the Junior Adjutant for Background Music Reviews to get authorization a jaunty Meow Mix theme song remix to be used as the background music for the school's classrooms. Luckily, this signature was easy to get.

Over to the Education & Literature Commission Office, where the legal paperwork for the college will be filed. Interim Undersecretary of College Registrations Cindy Jackson was unavailable (she was in a meeting to watch squirrels out of the window and thus too busy...) so there was a delay.

The trek to get to every government building and get signatures was well underway. Nine signatures were needed altogether. The most elusive signatures were those of Dr. Nicholas Sullivan, Director of Veterinary Services, and  Zachary Mason, Chairman of the Collegiate Review Board. Mr. Mason was chasing butterflies on the roof and it took forever to find him...

Finally, the doctors were able to bring their paperwork over to the National Archive to file. Once recorded, the papers will be reviewed by the Education Commissioner.

The group headed over to The Triangle to await word from the Commissioner. It's not a bad place to pass the time...

They decided to head into Grove Center to do some shopping. Might as well get college shirts and hats and stuff made up. After all, if you don't have stuff in the school store your school just isn't that cool!
