Congratulations on your engineer degree!  :bnn: &dance  It's a big achievement!

I love your update. Your transport system seems excellently designed and you present it really well. The story makes sense and now I'd like to ride Kolbrów's trams and trains even more  ;D   That's a pretty nice-looking ring road on the map too...  Love the post cards from earlier as well!

I always like updates that focus on transport - I like seeing how players handle things differently.

Hello, everyone! Anyone's there?

Well, SimCity is no longer my main part of life today, but from time to time I like to build something ;) Usually I tried to finish all the area, make it as detailed as possible, before the presentation. However, today I would like to show you something with a very unfinished background. A small diary of a road construction!

National road no... if I only rembemer it... Probably no 14. Connection with the city of Wiluń (6th largest city in the country) with A1 motorway between Kolbrów and Polbrań. So far it was narrow, dilapidated with big traffic volume, going trough the centre of the villige of Wolice.

That's how the entrance to Wiluń looks like.

Here we have a school in Wolice.

Look! What a road the poor little children have to cross every day!

But never mind! Here's the plan! Brand new 2x2 road, that steers clear of the village. Partially collision-free. Partialy, because... you know... money.

There will be a viaduct going over the railway and the street. Some housings need to be demolished.

And that's the place, where 2x2 will temporarily end. End of the first stage.

So, let's go! The first shovel has been sticked!

Mess... But a very beautiful mess!

The houses have been already demolished.

And the first pillars are under construction.

Temporary connection.

Ok, let's skip the next few monts of laying asphalt...

Et voilá!

The connection with the motorway was there before. Turbin roundabouts has been implemented on the intersections.

Nothing, but start to drive! The counter of drivers hitting the barriers because of speeding has been turned on.

Hope, that you enjoy! :)

Thank you for visiting Kolbrów, and for being for last ten years!

I really like the image of the cranes constructing the bridge supports as well as the road building images. Nice work :)

This was quite entertaining &apls  I like your creative use of the ploppable dirt.

The picture of the train running through the construction site is wonderful.

Nice job with the new road overall. :)

A great update, again! :) but two overpasses on the new highway so quick in a row?
You can see that Europe paid the highways in your country? :P

feyss

I like this kind of bypass road. And I also like roadworks updates

carlfatal

Very nice pictures. I especially like your use of MMPs to create the construction site.  &apls

Hello! Thanks to everyone for staying there. I've got several photos from the mountain village, I was working on for last 2 years! all because of the few ideas still to be done in LotEditor ;) However, winter photos of the stream shown in this uptade were already published last year right there.

SZLACHTOWA

A little mountain town lying upon small stream called Potok Szlachtowski. It doesn't have many residents, but in summer and winter holiday time it gets very crowdy. Many tourists from all Galand come here to admire the mountains, nature and swiss-style architecutre from XIX-century, when the small village had been coverted into a courort.

Market Square and the Town Hall.

The stream and the boulevard.

Railway station. It's a dead-end station but it's not the end of the line. Trains coming from Kolbrów need to change their direction to go further.

Some close-ups:

Regional bus station.

Line coming from Kolbrów has one track and the line going further (to Lanckorona and Siepraw) has two. Illogical, but that's the only way to build a tunnel in SC.

Blocks on the other side of a stream.

Another close-up on the stream, downstream from the centre of a town.

And the general view. There are some more interesting spots around, I'll try to post more photos in next days or next week :)

Stay tuned! Really, this time I plan to post them really next week ;)
Thank you for visiting Kolbrów, and for being for last ten years!

Themistokles

Nice to see some activity here again! The MMPs in the stream and the woods blend really well into the cityscape. Oftentimes I think old-style towns in SC look like they have been superimposed on the landscape, but here they blend seamlessly instead. And you know there is a STR tunnel override piece included in rivit's tunnel mod? It looks stinkingly modern (and is a pain to use ::)) but it really does work.
Come join me on a hike to St Edmea!

Beautiful update. The stream is very well done. What do you mean about the train tunnel? You can create STR tunnels with RVT's mod.

Very nice. Inspired me to try to do something similar but in a Japanese architectural style. I like very much the small agricultural zones, since i do those similarly. But as a suggestion for them to look more organic, i would separate them, using a tile, and after do some paths, weeds or something.

But is very nice, especially the lots. Very detailed  imo

Dantes

Dzienkuvie!
Your settlements always look great! I love the charm of your landscaping. Reminds me of Silesia and southern Poland. Great!

Themistokles - Thank you! Well, yes, sharp edges of Old Towns (or any other developement) are something, that I try to avoid. Here it wasn't so hard as it's a small village :)
Arthur, Gugu -  Well, I didn't know that mod before, even though I'm playing this game for years! I'll try to use it, thanks! :)
Girafe - Thanks! Theese wagons are avaible at SimCityPolska, right here:

SuperMessi - Thank you! As I mentioned many times, I always try to make small polish-style fields :) You might be right, some addition would be good, but as far as they are so narrow, I think the paths would be too wide compared with them. What is more, it would take much more time, as I make quite a lot of them ;/
Yup, this village is probably most detailed, that I've ever made, I usually don't play in LE so much.
Dantes - Dziękuje, cieszę się, że się podoba ;) Yep, southern Poland, that's what I try to base on most of the time, as I live there ;)

Ok, so, next round! A few shots from surrounding fields, some hotel, skiing facilities and more sheeps, but let's switch for a while into autumn colours!

Let's go a little bit upstream from the villlage.

Climbing a trail to its sources...

...

...to admirea a beautiful view!

And that's not my last word! Stay tuned! ;)

This is seriously one of the best stream I've ever seen, nice job! The autumnal colors are so pretty.

I like southern Poland. Very friendly people! I drive with modern regional trains. The trains have Internet, clean and fast!
I hope you'll also once again show an update with railway.
